Al Khor International School is a very, very large school. We are on 2 different sites - the British Stream and the Indian Stream and have over 3,000 pupils in the schools! In the British Primary each year group has 11 forms of approximately 20 pupils per class. Why don't you also look at our website - www.akis.sch.qa
Qatar is a small country in the Middle East which is bordered by Saudi Arabia. From Qatar you can travel to Dubai, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi. We have lovely weather most of the year but in the summer the temperature rises to 50 degrees Celsius during the day which is very hot! Here are some pictures of Qatar.

Wow, your school has a lot of kids! We have 400 students. That city looks cool. The tall buildings look similar to Boston, near where I live. The buildings are really tall. I like camels. Wow, you can buy pet falcons?

Hi 4P
ReplyDeleteHave you ever been on a Dhow? They look like they would be interesting to ride on!
Where was the camp that you went to? Was it near to your school?
Have you ever ridden on a camel? If you have, was it bumpy?
Have you got lots of tall buildings in your school?
Have you ever ridden on an Arabian horse?
Are many people poor in Qatar? Or do you have a mixture like we do?
Do you have an emperor or prime minister?
Josh says that he doesn't like camels because they are slobbery... what do you think about camels?
How many years all together are in your school? How many classes?
As you can see, the children have a lot of questions! It would be great to Skype and answer them together!
Mrs Darling and Cherry Tree class
The camp was far from the school.
DeleteI did ride on a camel it was a little bumpy and hard to make it stand up so I never rid on one again.
not a lot of tall buildings in our school but it is one of the biggest schools.
I did ride on a arabian horse and it is better than a cammel.
we have a mixture but most have money and a little a poor.
we do have a prime minister.
I don't like camels because they are very smelly.
15 years in our school including the nursery and I have been in this school for six years with the nursery.:)
But in summer its so hot you could sweat in minutes, and in winter it's not very cold exepet in the morning its freezing and all the nice buildings are in the capital city called Doha and our school is in a community called Al Khor community in Al Khor but Qatar is small but a nice place to live in especially in Al Khor community it is nice and safe you can play on the road safely because there is not a lot of cars and the limit speed is 25km per 1h.
